COPYRIGHT DURASEAL 2021 (Last Update: 17 Days ago) TM > Do DuraSEAL® sealers really work? Answer: YES! DuraSEAL® Automotive Sealers really do work. DuraSEAL® Automotive has been a leader in the automotive sealant industry since 1998. We have repaired well over 1/2 million vehicles world-wide and have been rated the #1 Sealer Manufacturer multiple times over the years by over 15 thousand mechanics in the USA… We’ve even received mentions and awards by several automotive TV shows and magazines. > So, what’s the difference between DuraSEAL® and all the other brands? Answer: DuraSEAL® are the world’s only “poly-flex” sealers! All other brands like Blu-Devil, Bars, Themgasket, NanoTech, Steal Seal and others are simply “silicate-based”, all the same just different labels. What a joke… Those silicate-based sealers turn to glass once they cured and almost immediately start to crack away from aluminum cylinder heads. DuraSEAL® “poly-flex” sealers are made for aluminum and steel/iron, stay flexible and simply cannot crack away… > What's in DuraSEAL® Head Gasket Sealers and what does it do? Answer: DuraSEAL® Sealers combine very advanced chemical Polymers, organic and inorganic compounds at trade-secret amounts to produce a “Flexible-Seal Product” which has the strength of steel yet the flexibility of polyethylene glycol polymers. When introduced to the coolant system it then travels to the head gasket area where with heat it bonds with the cracked gasket and cures. > What is DuraSEAL® Sealers success rate? Answer: With specific formulas like this its no wonder DuraSEAL® has the highest success rate in the industry at 98% on the first application! Only about 2% of our customers require a second treatment to achieve a full seal. If you do need a second treatment, we have you covered. All our products offer an ironclad replacement warranty. If you need more sealer to fully repair your engine, just give us a call. We have you covered… > How do I know if I even have a blown head gasket? Answer: The best way to diagnose a blown head gasket is to identify key symptoms… - Engine overheating, smoke or steam - External coolant leaks around cylinder head - Depleted coolant w/ no visual trace of leakage - Bubbles in radiator or overflow - Milky coloration/film in oil - Heater stops working - Engine hard to start - Steam from exhaust > Can I perform this DuraSEAL® head gasket repair myself? DuraSEAL® repairs can be easily completed by almost anyone. See overview below… First, add DuraSEAL® Head Gasket Sealer to the coolant system. If you do not have an actual radiator cap on the radiator the best way to introduce the product into the coolant system is to simply disconnect the upper radiator hose from the “engine-side” of the hose-end and pour the product directly into the that hose, then just reattach the hose. Next, start engine and let idle for 30 minutes before normal use. If any overheat condition occurs check to ensure there is no “air-bubble” in coolant system. If there is air in the coolant system, simply bleed air out. Product can take up to 50 to 150 miles of normal driving to achieve a full and lasting seal. Once the symptoms have disappeared and the engine is running correctly, you may leave sealer in system long-term or if desired you can drain-out the sealer and replace fluid with new coolant. *If you do not achieve a full-seal, this product carries a 30 day replacement warranty as some leaks may need another treatment to reach a full-seal.
